Pearson BTEC Level 5 Higher National Diploma in Counselling and Applied Psychology

Students have the opportunity to specialize in a field of work connected to counselling through the Level 5 modules and advance to degree-level studies. This level will educate the students to advance to certain academic fields, pursue further educational Level 6, or enter the workforce equipped with the skills required for jobs that demand professional responsibility and decision-making.

International Higher National Diploma Programme

Students will be able to develop and apply their own ideas to their studies, to deal with uncertainty and complexity, to explore solutions, demonstrate critical evaluation and use both theory and practice in a wide range of therapeutic situations. The level 5 qualification would enable students to understand the fundamental concepts of their respective field of specialization in depth and be able to practically apply such concepts more effectively.

Entry Requirements

BTEC Level 3 qualification in a related subject, such as BTEC Level 3 Certificate in Counselling or
equivalent Level 3 qualification
GCE A/Level or London A/Level with 2 Passes in any stream
Prior learning/work experience will be considered for candidates who do not possess standard entry
qualification
